Hi everyone...it has been forever since I've hopped on here. I have had a crazy couple of weeks of travel with the family, and then travel for work. I feel like every weekend I have been away or gone most of the day for work! Needless to say that really makes the work week crazy trying to play catch up around the house and limits my time! I've been to Florida, NYC, Cortland as well as Rochester, NY several times in the last 3 weeks. I'm happy to say I have one more "road trip" and then I'm done for awhile, thank god!
I wanted to share one of my new favorite supplements that I've been using lately: Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. I was skeptical at first but honestly I noticed a difference in my hair (it has grown SO SO much quicker) and nails within a week or two. A lot of people have raved about it online, and it was fairly affordable ($26) on amazon so I thought I would go for it. My husband even made a comment about my skin looking good. Its unflavored so I usually put it in my shake after a workout, but I know some people who put it in their coffee in the morning. (I don't drink coffee so I don't have an opinion on that). I'm also hoping that it helps the elasticity in my stomach as I continue to get back after baby #2!
Basically this is a collagen supplement made to help our skin, nails, hair, bones and joints. It's dairy free, gluten free, paleo, and flavorless and odorless. It has one ingredient: collagen- so no crazy scientific names that you are wondering what you are really ingesting!
Anyway, I love this stuff and totally recommend it (obviously check with your own dr. if you have any questions about supplements-I am not a dr.)! Like I said, you can get it amazon, and I've also seen it sold at Whole Foods. They do sell single packets so you could also try that from Whole foods (and maybe Wegmans) to try it out to see if you like it!
Happy Monday everyone!
